Corn farmer Faustino of Las Flores experiments
with new methods of growing corn in ways that decrease deforestation of
the rain forest. By planting his corn closer together, he is able
to get the same yield of corn on 1/11th the land previously used. His farm helps others in the community to see that they don't
need to clear as much land as they previously did for crops, helping to
conserve the rain forest in their area. (El Salvador)
