Biography

|
Photographer Jim Stipe has traveled throughout much of the world capturing images that reflect the strength and vitality of the human spirit. The son of an anthropologist, Jim brings a cultural sensitivity and awareness to his photography. Having worked for nine years at Bread for the World, a world hunger organization, he is knowledgeable about U.S. and international hunger, poverty and development issues. His photos have been published by many organizations, including Africa Action, the American Refugee Committee, Bread for the World, Catholic Relief Services, the Centers for Disease Control, the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IIRR), Jubilee USA Network, Lutheran World Relief and USAID. Jim and his wife Christina Way currently make their home in Islamabad, Pakistan, where Christina (who is also an artist and a photographer) is working for an NGO and Jim works as a free-lance photographer. |
