Because Pakistan was
formerly ruled by the British, cars drive on the left side of the
road here.
-
Pakistan considered changing
to driving on the right in the 1960's. According to www.i18nguy.com/index.html,
"The main argument against the shift was that camel trains
often drove through the night while their drivers dozed. The
difficulty in teaching old camels new tricks was decisive in forcing
Pakistan to reject the change."

Like Sri Lanka (also
formerly ruled by the British), the most popular sport in Pakistan
is cricket.

Apparently South Asia is a
world filled with mangos. After having experienced mango-flavored
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes in Sri Lanka, here in Pakistan we can get
mango ice cream, mango deserts... you name it. Funny, though
-- we have yet to see an actual mango in Pakistan.

When asking someone their
name, what you say is "What is your good name?"
There's something wonderful about immediately recognizing someone's
name as good.
